My Story

On Sunday, 10 May, I am taking on Walk the Wight (Flat) to support patients and families cared for by Mountbatten the Island's only hospice. Every single day, it costs over £25,000 to keep Mountbatten's vital services running. Only a third of this comes from the NHSthe rest relies on people like us.

Mum was only in the hospice for 5 days in 2023, but in that time she was given dignity and the option to die in her own way and see our lovely dogs everyday. Doing Walk the Wight in her Memory is a small way to repay all that love and kindness she had and the grief counselling I received afterwards
