Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club
About
Support us as we carry an OAR accross the Isle of Wight -
it's going to be OAR-some
On Sunday, 10 May, Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club are entering a team into this year's Walk the Wight to support patients and families cared for by Mountbatten - the Island's only hospice. HOWEVER we are going to be giving ourselves an extra challenge and will be carryng one of our OARS across the Island from Bembridge to Alum Bay. It is an amazing event which shows the Isle of Wight at its very best and by doing this we want to show just how OAR-some all those people who support and work for the wonderful Mountbatten Hospice are.
Every single day, it costs over £25,000 to keep Mountbatten's vital services running. Only a third of this comes from the NHS - the rest relies on people like us.
Your sponsorship will help provide 24/7 expert care and support, free of charge, for thousands of Islanders - whether at home, in the hospice in Newport, or at St Mary's Hospital. It also funds bereavement and psychological support for anyone who needs it, plus therapies and social activities that help people live well in the last years of life.
Every pound you give makes a real difference. Together, we can make sure no one faces death, dying, or bereavement alone. Thank you for for supporting Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club and Mountbatten.
